CQ East meets West Article
posted on: 3/7/2008 9:17:40 AM

Gary K sent me a scan of the article from the last issue of Cruiser Quarterly that Sugee wrote about their "West meets East Tour" from last fall. I think this was the first time in 8 years that the Garden State Cruisers have been mentioned in the magazine (except when they listed our events on the wrong dates). Oh well, there is no more CQ so there is no sense beating a dead horse.

Oh Man, it is already cold and raining down here. And I can't get the PT into the Garage to clean it I guess as long as I cover it in GREEN, nobody will notice?

Hey Bill, it seems we all need that shower to wash off the dust from driving to the event and then we can dry our cars and they are all clean and shiny. Maybe we should start a chamois concession at the show?

There were also pictures at the beginning of the magazine which had no captions, but I knew who they were. It was the Woodbridge Christmas Parade and there was Casper's PT Express and John's caboose--all decorated as the Polar Express.

Thanks Gary, you da man!

These pictures are from 2006 Woodbridge Christmas Parade and the theme for the parade was "The Polar Express". The PTs really came through with our version of the Polar Express, led by Joey's PT Express complete with Polar Express Movie Poster and MYREDPT has the prized Golden Ticket punched out with "BELIEVE".

Thanks for the scans of the magazine Gary! I'm still waiting for my copy of CQ to come! I knew the article about the West meet East Tour was going to be in CQ, it was great to see pictures from Shorething in the article! But what a surprise to see the "Polar Express" pictures I sent to Barbara in Dec. 2006 in the magazine!! Every year I send the staff at CQ a Christmas Card because of the support they have given to PT CASPER and the PT EXPRESS thru the years. So Christmas of 2006 I sent her a story and photos about the "Polar Express" at the Woodbridge, NJ parade along with the Christmas card just to give them a update of what we have done! It's great to see they decided to put them in the magazine!
