replied on: 6/3/2009 9:30:23 PM Florence is 39 miles from Woodbridge, about 45 to 50 minute ride from exit 11 to exit 6. We all have gotten together at my house after for food and drink and a quite chat after ward, a nice liesure affair. We start lining up around 11:15 and are usually finished about 1:30. We chip in for the food which runs about 10 per person. I think this year it will be a "PIZZA PARTY after, and of course you could order something different if desired. Barbara may not be up to par so I want to make it an easy day with no running around. Florence has other activities after the parade- fire works - concert - later so it can be an all day affair. Any one interested please contact me and let me know, just need a head count. They offer hot dogs and soda at the VFW for the parade goers if you would rather do that. but most people prefer the company of our fellow cruisers at the "INN of THE NIPPER". Parade start is noon. 2 to 6PM Free superdome moon bounce--face painting-sand bottle making--Patriotic Uncle Sam Dunk Tank 3 balls for a buck...proceeds for the Gia Graziano fund...concerts 6 to 9 fire works at 9:10PM This all happens at Water Works Field Municipal complex... |

So now plan on eating at a Fridays on rte 130 abou 15 minutes from the parade end. STill meeting at my house before the parade, if u need directions e-mail me at nip63@verizon.net... |
