Melting pot of online Gor - a plea to the Leaders

The members

Another large part of the melting pot of online Gor, is the transient nature of online Goreans. Torvies become Tuchuk and then take up residence in Port Cos.

Consider informing members up front that one goal of the room is to portray a specific location / culture. Ask them to do their part in assimiliating to the culture of the Home Stone they have now sworn allegiance to.

One entering the lands of the Savages should expect to encounter the Savage language. One entering a bakery in Tyros should not.

Mead is not stocked in kitchens all across Gor, nor is it imported. Those leaving Torvaldsland, can also leave its customs behind and embrace their new surroundings.

Whether you are thinking of opening a new room, or considering updating a current one - please give some thought to abolishing the melting pot of Gor.

A new concept - full portrayal of one portion of Gorean culture.

The website

- Include information that is relevant to the home you are portraying - and exclude all other information.

- - Where is your city / camp located?
- - How does one approach your city/camp? By tarn? Boat or barge? Kaiila? Tharlarion?
- - What do people see when they approach? When they move around? City walls? Towers? Tents? Streets? Wagons?
- - What foods are available and consumed by your culture?

Break the mold - abolish those lists of every food found in every culture all over the entire planet!

- - What plants and animals would be encountered by those in your location?

If you aren't in the jungle, why list jungle animals on your pages? Consider, instead, information more focused on the location and culture you wish your members and visitors to have in the location you have chosen for your home. (In depth information about several gorean animals can be found in the Library to help your visitors and members)

- - How do men, women and slaves dress in your location?
- - What weapons are used in your location?
