| RMMee Moderator This message was updated on 10/11/2003 6:14:08 PM by RMMee | Heritage Centre Opening Times posted on: 7/9/2003 12:15:05 AM The Heanor Heritage Centre is situated in one of the old chapels in the Marlpool Cemetery off Ilkeston Road, Heanor. The Centre boasts a good collection of local photographs, documents and other items from our town's past. During the lighter months it is open on Tuesday and Sunday afternoons, from 2pm to 4pm. From the beginning of November, it will only be open on a Tuesday afternoon. It is, of course, staffed entirely by volunteers. Entry is free, though donations are always gratefully received. Please call in and visit - it might even be me that is there when you call. |

Winter Opening Times
replied on: 11/8/2003 2:04:54 PM We're now into Winter opening times, so the Heritage Centre is only open on a Tuesday afternoon from 1pm to 3pm. If you cannot make it at this time, but definitely want to visit, send me an e-mail and I'll try to find a volunteer to open the Centre up for you (but it would have to be during the day). |

Summer Opening Times
replied on: 4/18/2004 1:24:38 AM We're now running on Summer opening times at the Heritage Centre: Tuesday - 2pm to 4pm Sunday - 2pm to 4pm. The same comment applies to if you need to make a visit outside of those times. The Society has also set up a display on Heanor Schooldays at the Heanor Town Hall - if you're passing, please call in and take a look. |

Closure
replied on: 1/12/2005 9:09:13 PM Just to let you know, in case you hadn't heard, the Heritage Centre will close its doors permanently on 25 January 2005. Our lease hasn't been renewed this year, and we have a couple of months to move all our stuff out and store it securely until we find new premises. A sad day for Heanor, but, to look on the bright side, we were looking for somewhere closer to town! |
