In that year, we have had 40 contributors, and many, many more visitors to the site. Our contributors have been as far away as New Zealand and Canada. In total, our pages have been viewed 23,991 times - not bad going. Many thanks to Chatarea for an excellent facility. Hopefully in the future I'll save up to turn our site into an advertising free space, though the ads aren't too intrusive. Please let me know of anything specific you'd like to see on the site. Please keep it going - the more new topics we have, the more words will get found by the search engines, and the more people will get drawn into the chat. The internet is truly the future of our history! Robert |

I would like to thank all contributors to the site, from those who visit daily, to those who pop in once, leave a post and are never seen again. They are all equally valued, for without your contributions, this site would be nothing. For the record (and it's interesting to compare with the situation 12 months ago): So far we have 91 Registered Users There are 888 Posts on the site Our pages have been viewed a total of 85836 times! replied on: 12/7/2005 9:27:48 PM Today is the Forum's third birthday. For the record, we now have 163 Registered Users, 4597 Posts, and 350574 Page Views to date. The number of posts excludes any which have been deleted in the past. Although it has been pointed out that only a few of the registered users are today posting, that is no diferent from other such forums. The fact is that every user, whether they post just once, or a hundred times, is just as valuable a member. I would like to thank everyone who has made this site so interesting and vibrant. It is a site which will I am sure continue for many years to come - and it is down to you the users. Happy birthday, and here's to the next year! Robert Mee |

(And don't forget that this is after the huge tidy up that we had in the autumn, where hundreds of old posts were deleted.) The site continues to grow and attract new members. On top of this, I know of countless people who read the site regularly, but don't actually contribute (though I wish they would!) Many thanks to all our contributors, past present and future. We have the odd week or so when there is little activity, and then, like the past few days, we have a flurry of new posts and replies.
