replied on: 10/26/2007 7:02:50 AM I wonder which Mr Fogg it was at the Railway? It must have been Archie, but I'm not sure why he would have been there...thought he had a garage? Now, had it been 25 years before, it would have been my grandad maybe |

replied on: 2/4/2008 4:10:30 PM I lived on Ebenezer Street and there was about 8 or 9 boys all more or less the same age. At the top of the street were two older boys Ian Thornhill and Doug Bundy, but the lads more or less the same age were Norman Hull, Michael (Smith?), Tony Taglienti (next door), Eric from down the street, Russel Naylor in Regent Street, Paul and Tony Lenahan, and myself. Any time of the day you could always find somebody to play with. When you went out into the street after school, there was likely to be sombody at the lamp-post. If not, you went to "call" them. You didn't knock on the door, but just shouted in a sing-song voice: "To-neee" There was always enough to play rallio or cricket or football. aaah, happy days. |
