Unlocated 1920s to 1930s postal address - 'Berle House, Heanor Rd; Smalley'.

Does anyone have an idea where the above address may have been situated in Smalley?

I can't actually help you, but would suggest that the name of the house dates it as being post WWI.

Certainly, Berle Avenue in Heanor, which I assume takes its name from the same person, was named after Cecil Berle, a local theatrical celebrity who specialised in Shakespearen type roles and who often could be seen wearing a large hat and a cloak. He did charity shows during the First World War, which is what makes me suspect that the house name is later than that.

Thanks for the information, Robert. It may be Post WW1 as you say, but the only period i do actually know about is from approximately the mid 1920s to the late -30s. It seems to get more and more intriguing date-wise.
