No the Ray Street Copes I'm thinking of are:-

at 143 My Grandfather George Cope (ex Coppice Miner), his daughter Hepsy, and his daughter Hilda (my Mum) and her husband Arthur Harrison (from Park Street) and my sister Linda and myself.

at 142 My Aunt Catherine Cope (daughter of George above) and her husband Issac Cope (also a Coppice miner)(same name different family - I am told he had something to do with the Copes who had something to do with bus trips)

Hi, Veronica. There was John? Brough, of Derby Rd; Heanor. He was a Sunday School teacher at the nearby Baptist Chapel and had been for quite a few years.
I knew him in the late 1940s-early 1950s. He had quite a pleasent charactor and was liked by many people. He lived in the row of terraced houses just above the Chapel, on the other side of the Road towards Heanor.
