Would there be a record of any marriages in the various colonies involving these people? I am thinking India sort of thing. Appreciate your help

I can't help directly, but a forum I go on a lot may very well be able to help. They have an online Wikipedia with reference info including India. What you can't find there, you can ask for! The direct link to the India page is http://www.genealogistsxgr.co.uk/wiki/index.php/India However, you may have to register on there before you look at it. But it's very well worth it!!!! Mandy
