I have had a look at 1912 and 1888 directories for mention of Curtis and Harvey but only in Heanor, Langley Mill and Eastwood entries. Wrights 1888 directory entry for Eastwood contains " Hall John & Son, gunpowder mfrs, McDonald & Rutledge, Market Place, agents".
If you take a look at Lacey Field Farm on old-maps.co.uk you will find several magazines to the East and North East. These magazines are less than a mile from the farm. Most of the collieries have at least one magazine nearby but the ones near the farm seem well away from any collieries.

I will have a look at Ripley entries for Curtis and Harvey and post any details found.

From Kelly's 1912 Directory of Derbyshire, Curtis and Harvey,Explosives Manufacturers, 24 St James Street, Derby. I would expect that address to be the registerd office so should make a starting point if you want to delve into the company history.
