I am especially interested in info on Neville Thornhill.All I know is the following -taken from Ripley and Heanor Ad 7 Jan 1938 "New Year Weddings" "Heanor Boxer-Ripley Bride" "Thornhill- Heanor, Shooter-Ripley Neville Thornhill, well known boxer, son of Mr N Thornhill of Lockton Ave Heanor, married at Ripley Parish Church Edna Mary Shooter of Lyncroft Ave Ripley. Info on any local boxers would be of interest

I can remember seeing a reference to Heanor Boxers somewhere else on the net. Have a look at http://bumpkinproductions.co.uk , if you have not found this one yet then its put the kettle on time.
