My apologies if I am wrong. Saw the hut in the back last time I was by the school. Any ideas what they are going to do with it? Be a shame to knock it down. Make a good place for all your stuff you had to move. Also be good to turn it into a working school of its day - show the kids how it was back then. Interactive sort of thing. |

replied on: 4/19/2006 7:19:53 PM Anyone remember those plastic arrow shaped deflectors that used to be fastened to the front of car bonnets? They were supposed to create a slip stream to keep the flies off the windscreen. frano |

replied on: 5/17/2006 8:32:43 PM Ice. It would be the early 50s. Imagine something the following shape, >, each side about 8 inches long by about 5 inches high pointing forwards, made of plastic in various colours. It had a metal bracket very often with a rubber sucker at the bottom to stick on the car bonnet. They worked after a fashion but it was another craze which didn't last long. Although I must admit having one on my sidecar. At todays speeds they would soon be airborne. |

replied on: 11/2/2006 8:57:50 AM Norm Is this the stage coach? Still trying to find out what it was all about. This photograph was taken on Grammer Street, Denby, and, as is so often the case, is thanks to Jenny for digging it out.
