replied on: 2/14/2006 4:54:27 PM George Seaton [January 30, 1933-April(?), 1933] was the first Lone Ranger. Later went on to much greater fame. Wrote and directed the Christmas classic "Miracle on 34th Street." Jack Deeds was the second. Earle Graser.Graser didn't look the part, but his voice certainly cut it. His "Hi-Yo, Silver! Away" was used throughout the rest of the radio series and on the television series. actually there we're eight lone rangers and three tonto's in all. Jay Silverheels ("Tonto")and Clayton Moore(Lone Ranger)being the last ones 1949-1958. |

Top Cat, the indisputable leader of a gang of New York City alley cats was a feline cartoon version of Sergeant Bilko from The Phil Silvers Show. TC (as he was known to his gang) was an irrepressible con-artist who lived in a customised dustbin ("trash can" to our trans-Atlantic friends), stole milk from doorsteps and used the local police phone for his personal calls.
