Seven Deadly Sins.

The TV drama which contained a septet of self-contained plays - one per each vice. The quirk of the show being that the individual sin was not revealed till the end of the program's credits.

The best script-writer for the program was Joe Orton.

ITV 1966.

The Roy Rogers Show

What can one say of such a syrupy load of it?

The cast (adrift, surely?) -
Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Pat Grady, The Sons of the Pioneers - what a joke.

ITV from 1955 to 1957 - HOW?..... WHY?

The Dickie Henderson Show
UK, ITV (Associated-Rediffusion/*Rediffusion), Sitcom, b/w, 1960
Starring: Dickie Henderson, June Laverick, Lionel Murton

Exploring the same premise of The Dickie Henderson Half-Hour - man the entertainer, man the husband, man the father - this marathon show ran virtually the length of the 1960s and was extremely popular throughout that time. Dickie appeared as, well, himself, keeping busy on the stage, being offered film parts and, latterly, enjoying his own TV show. June Laverick played his somewhat dotty wife (and, as Dickie saw it, predictably, the cause of domestic trouble and strife), they had a young son, circa ten years old (first John Parsons then, when he had to concentrate on exams, Danny Grover), and Dickie had a musical manager, Jack, who, as often as not, was visiting the house.

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea

The first several shows with the Atomic powered submarine 'Seaview' weren't too bad, in a novelty adventure kind of way, but after that, stale story plots began to take over and all was lost, as usual.

Admiral Harriman Nelson - Richard Basehart.
Cmdr. Lee Crane - David Hedison.
Lt. Cmdr. Chip Morton - Robert Dowdell
CPO Curley Jones - Henry Kulky.
Chief Sharkey - Terry Becker.
Stu Riley - Allan Hunt.
Kowalsky - Del Monroe.
Patterson - Paul Trinka.
Sparks - Arch Whiting.

ITV 1964 to 1966. Sci-fi.

Wagon Train

A very good, most of the time, Wild-West Pioneering adventure. Generally very enjoyable and interesting to watch, especially for the genuine 'Great Outdoor' scenes. It was acted and filmed as near to the original Wild-West conditions as possible.
'Big' name weekly guests appeared to fit in well with the '1860's action.

Major Seth Adams - Ward Bond.
Flint McCullough - Robert Horton.
Chris Hale - John McIntire.
Bill Hawks - Terry Wilson.
Charlie Wooster - Frank McGrath.
Duke Shannon - Scott Miller.
Cooper Smith - Robert Fuller.
Barnaby West - Michael Burns.

A great Western. If only they knew how to make such interesting serials today - the TV licence might just be worth it.
'Wagon Train, keep on rolling.......'.

ITV/BBC 1958 to 1964.
