I seem to be having a lot of problems with emails to you, though I know that Peter has managed to email you a picture without any problem. I got your message saying that you had received the Ebenezer Street photo, but I sent that about three times before it reached you! Can you click on my name to the left of this post, and send a message to me that way to let me know if you have received the email from me entitled "Newspaper"? If you haven't I shall try once more, and, if that fails, I shall print it out and put it in the post!!! (I have your address.) Thanks for your contributions Stan. Robert |

replied on: 12/30/2006 6:41:33 PM You'll feel you are in Langley Mill again, Stanley. Here's a question for you- With your Coop dairy connections -do you remember Bernard Smith from the Coop Dairy (he lived on Plumptre Road Aldercar and was married to Doris, who was manageress of ladies fashions at Eastwood Coop)?? Dois's sister , Stella, was married to Ken Marson, who was a tailor for Gents outfitting at Langley Mill Coop -and his father was in charge of the Coop funeral/wedding cars!!! Doris's other sister Flossie worked in the office at langley Mill Coop laundry-a real Coop family!!! Are you relatd to Charlie Rowley who lived in the cottage next to the "Top House"? |
