I have found in my research of this family one James Lomax born abt 1817, married to Esther Walker, I can't find out who James parents are, could anyone help?
Also any information on the Lomax family so I can make sure I have all the correct information on my tree.

Hi, Elaine. Perhaps the following names and dates may help you?

Heanor Marriages

Lomax. Charles, m. Mary Hodgkinson - 07/03/1803.
Lomax. Robert, m. Hannah Osbourne - 12/12/1808.
Lomax. Samuel, m. Brittania Fletcher (with parents consent) - 14/08/1815.

Burial

Lomax. Britana, aged 32. Bd. 18/03/1825 - Heanor, St. Lawrence.

All spellings are as given. If you require other dates pre, around or after the above dates, just ask.

Can't find a James-but a possibility??
Heanor St Lawrence Baptisms
1 jan 1816 CHARLES LOMAX son of SAMUEL (fwk) /BRITTANIA of Langley
11 Feb 1816 CHARLES LOMAX son of SAMUEL(fwk) /BRITTANIA of Heanor
It is possible the first CHARLES died-and (as so often happened) the next child was given the same name, but also possible there has been an error in copying these records and one of the CHARLES could have been JAMES??? Or it's just one person entered twice with different dates????
It's a long shot-but you never know???????
Have you checked baptisms other than the online site??????
There are other baptisms of children of this couple-maybe JAMES called his children after some of his bros or sisters?????

Charles was born on the 13 Jan 1816, and was baptised on 11 Feb 1816. Charles brothers were Henry, Adam and William. All baptised at St Lawrence's. I have death record for all but William

Still no closer to find out who James belonged to.

Many thanks, that sorts that out James is not one of the Heanor Lomax family but could possible belong somewhere as the family original came from Taddington, North Derbyshire
