replied on: 2/22/2007 1:31:43 PM Aldercar cemetery was/is across the road from Aldercar St Johns church (there are some burials in the Church yard-burial records usually say Churchyard if the grave is in there. Some 30 plus years ago the headstones were removed from the cemetery and placed around the walls of the Church yard. There are still a few graves with headstones and surrounds in the cemetery-the ones which are left there are easily readable -a lot of the headstones around the wall of the cemetery are readable, but some have fallen face down and (for me) are too heavy to lift, but you never know someone may be able to find it and maybe get a photograph for you. |
