When was it demolished? Who owned the land ? Who owned the farm ? The farm was situated near the Butchers Arms, Hands Road. I believe there is a Scout Hut on the land. I have found reference to the area around the junction of Laceyfields Road and Aldreds Lane being known as Red Hill, but that is all. All contributions gratefully received!!!! |

replied on: 11/13/2006 2:22:04 PM From Bulmers 1895, Riley Joseph, farmer, 50 Hands Road Smith Charles, cowkeeper, 36 Hands Road. I will go through other directories later this week and post anymore info. The numbering sequence may have changed over the years. Hopefully the above will give a starter for further information. regards Phil |
