Methodist Free Church Derby
replied on: 1/27/2007 9:00:44 PM Hello JackM, Welcome to the site. If it is this family you are interested in (rather than the church) you would probably get more response posting on our Family History section. I can supply census information -which census do you require? By the way, James wife, Elizabeth, on the 1901 census gives her place of birth as Ripley Derbys. Basford is in Nottinghamshire, but Basford registration district covers parts of Notts and Derbys. Can be very confusing! The Methodist Free Church Derby is out of our area, but maybe earlier they were members of a Methodist Church more local to us. 1871 it looks like Elizabeth lived (with her parents and siblings) next door but 2 to the vicar of Codnor Derbys at Crosshill -which is well in our area. Hopefully see you on the family History Section. |
