Heanor Hall / Ormonde Colliery
posted on: 2/5/2007 8:39:23 PM

Hi all, my frustrating search continues !!! I am trying to find a link between Will (actually Thomas William, but known as Will) Sherratt c1885 born Biggin, Derbyshire and Thomas Brown c1891 born Codnor. I know Thomas Brown worked at Ormonde Colliery in the 40's and 50's until he retired in the 60's, but believe these 2 men worked together in the 1920's at either Heanor Hall colliery or, maybe Will Sherratt joined Thomas Brown at Ormonde also in the 20's.
Any clues please? Thanks, Sue

Hi Suz, yes I have - I do most of my research between GR and Ancestry. It was just worth a try to see if they worked together in the 1920's...I have details of relatives/wives/siblings of both of them, but I'm looking for a link between the two. Long shot, I know. Thanks
