I have Richard Oxley born abt 1804 and according to the census records born in Heanor, married to Ellen Wheatley born about 1808 in Shipley. I seem to have hit a brick wall, I can't find any information about either sets of parents for these two people. Please please can anyone help. Does anyone have access to baptism records for this period?

Does anyone have access to the Parish records that would have recorded the marriage of Richard to Ellen? Would these records have parents names on them? Or any other information? I have been given information before that they may have married at St Lawrence, Heanor in Aug 1830.

Pallots Marriage index -image
Richard oxley
Ellen Wheatley
1830 Heanor Derby 15

that's all the information given

IGI has the date of their marriage as 6 Aug 1830 -but it is a member submitted record NOT extracted-so should be treated with caution

There is a baptism
Ellen Wheatley
13th Feb 1809 Ilkeston Derbys
Parents
Francis/Mary

It would be quite likely someone born in Shipley would be baptised in Ilkeston -but once again this is a member submitted record

I have got this information but I was hoping that by looking at the Parish records it may prove one way or the other. Can someone please just check the 1851 census, was he 66 years old or is this a mistype.

Got the Samuel Clay and Katherine Oxley marriage already in tree, linked to another family.
I am sure that somewhere in the past Katherine is related to Richard in some way, just not sure how yet!!!! Still working on the family.
Any additional information on the Oxley family would be brilliant, I can then check to see if I have the informtaion already and add to it if not.
I know from past experience going through all the information on one family you suddenly find that missing link, the informtion was there you just did not see it.
