I don't know if anyone has mentioned Collaro's ammunitions factory during the second world war on the site before, but I have just read a really interesting book about what life was like then. It is called Boiler suits, Bofors and Bullets and was published by Derbyshire county council in 1999. The contents are in the words of people who worked there. The book was leant to me by a contributor and I have just purchased the last one from Heanor library.
I'm sure they would be able to advise anyone interested how to get a copy. It's a really good read. Sorry if this is old news, but I couldn't see it mentioned in the Subjects column.

This has been mentioned before (in the Langley Mill topic see this link), but it really doesn't matter. Better to get a subject mentioned twice than not at all!
