I have been researching Richard Hutsby alias Joseph Hutsby born Brinsley about 1800 as the co founder of Wesson Pit Later to become Parkhall colliery. Longton Stoke on trent I have a copy of "copy of Hutsby Journal 1846-1852" held in Stoke on Trent Archives a Good friend of mine visited Heanor and Matlock today and acquired copies of your newsletters in this it states that a copy of Hutsby Journal is in your reference library is it possible to have a copy I will of course re-imburse costs. I have intensively researched the stoke on trent part including perusing deeds between Hutsby and Charles Coyney held at Stafford CRO and was at a dead end until acquiring copies of your newsletter.
Thanking you all in advance

Bob

Joseph Hutsby's diary was the subject of at least two further articles (issues 124 and 126), and his name appears elsewhere in the Newsletters of the Society. I am in the process of indexing the newsletters (and, by sheer coincidence, am currently on issue 123!), so am not in the position as yet to give you a definitive list of references to him.

If you can send me an e-mail with your contact details, I will gladly forward your request to the Society's Secretary at the next meeting.

You Can Contact me at robertjburden@tiscali.co.uk
Do you have any information on Margaret Breeze or her family I have traced most of Joseph alias Richard Hutsby relatives until 1901. I have been working on this project for over 12 months, I feel I now know how this man though and with the additional information from your society it may solve the greatest mystery which is why he was Richard in 1851 at Adderley Green.
