Wesleyan Chapel Burial Ground
replied on: 1/19/2004 9:00:24 AM

I don't know, but I do know that the order for it to cease being used was issued by Whitehall on 22 August 1856, along with the Heanor Parish Church, Marlpool Congregational Chapel, Langley Mill Baptist Chapel, and Heanor Common Baptist Chapel. This gave rise to the setting up of the Marlpool Cemetery.

Perhaps the burial ground was covered over when the Centenary Hall (also now gone) was built in 1904?
