replied on: 8/25/2004 9:10:33 PM Brian I can certainly back Kinz up on this - from the description you give, it certainly sounds like Edgar Parker's shop - now boarded up but still there. I remember Edgar when I was a kid. What it was in the time you are looking at I'm not so sure. There was certainly at least two grocery shops on the Eastwood side of the river in the 1901 census, so perhaps that was one of them. Hope you don't mind me moving your post, but new topics are best started in a new section - all the regular visitors will read all the posts regardless of where you put the message, but it is good if the title of the thread bears some relation to the content.
