Boundary Lane
replied on: 8/25/2004 10:14:19 PM Hi, Robert, I'm almost certain it was another name of the owner of the shop i once heard about - from around the 1920 mark. This was/is the shop at the end of the several terraced houses. Apparently the couple there at that time used to have interesting weekends on a regular basis. It's a wonder the traffic of that time could use the road outside the shop on a weekend - all that broken bottle glass about. Does that ring a bell for a name? (Fingers crossed} There's no worry about moving the post. All is well. At least your a reasonable Moderator and that makes a World of difference to us seekers of enlightenment. But ALL that overwhelming power...it must be... well, it simply must be. But you've made a really good Chat Site, well thought out and very user friendly. O.K., we'll forgive you this time. Hopefully, some names of some of those past tenants of Boundary Lane may surface one way or another? Azzabuv. |
