Langley Mill/Aldercar School Teachers
replied on: 3/5/2005 5:34:41 PM

I was at the Heanor Aldercar Secondary Modern from 61 to 64. The secondary education was reorganised for 64 in that the school no longer sat O and A level examinations. These were all to be taken at Heanor Grammar School. The two top streams from the 4th an 5th years moved to HGS to become classes 4A and 5A. From HASM teachers I recollect Mr Wilmott, tech drawing, Gunga Leake english, Ken Hadjul maths (used to be a major in the Polish Army sometimes used to tell war stories if he was minding a class), Len Huckerby music,
Pete? Flynn PE, G J Farmer-Little Headmaster, Katy Abbott biolgy?. I was in classes 116, 216 and 316.
