Thank-you-I don't think it was the actual farmhouse, but remembering from childhood days when I used to visit that farm-the farmhouse had attached to it a couple of terraced houses-so maybe that was Wells terrace. It would figure, as the occupant in 1891 was a retired farmer-in 1881 he lived on Cromford Rd, but only 2 houses away from Plumptre Terrace. The occupant's daughter was Lucy Mason-school mistress-maybe at Aldercar Infants School???? Wonder if she'll appear on "Teachers" topic???
