The most BORING film ever shown here was the Deborah Kerr - Yul Bryner debacle known as 'The King and I'.
WHERE were Roy Rogers and Hopalong, when they were so sorely NEEDED.

The BEST of the late 1950s - the Bill Hayley ultimate - the one and only - 'Rock Around the Clock'.
It wasn't the Empire Cinema anymore that night, it was The Heanor 'Palais de Rock 'n' Roll', inside and out, with all doors flung wide open. Brilliant, or as we used to say - "Sock it to me, maann" - "Gimmy some skin" - "See ya later, Alligator".
