Shops in Langley Mill
replied on: 4/8/2005 6:46:56 PM

I remember the shop on Ebenezar St in late 50's early 60's yes the penny ice lollies with the stick almost diagonal through it,they also sold fags singly with a match for each, not that I bought any of course. There was a small shop across the road from Aldercar infants, you could buy Wagon Wheels sold in a paper bag,not a bit like the things you get from Tesco's.
By the way I don't know if its been mentioned before but who recalls their Mum's Co-oP dividend number, god help you if you came back from the shops without the cheque, ours was 13207
