Approx 30 years ago all of the headstones in Aldercar cemetery were removed and placed around the walls of St Johns churchyard (the church across the road from the cemetery.) Many of the headstones have fallen flat to the ground and are too heavy to lift. Its quite upsetting as many of my family were buried there. You can write to a society and for a small fee and postage they will send you a list of memorial inscriptions in Derbys-I'll find address and send it to your mailbox
Sue
