Where was D. H. Lawrence

Thanks, Bagpuss. That certainly clears that question up.
I started to search Greasley, then gave it up after checking the Web Site again, seeing where they stated the Family "had moved around Eastwood quite a bit, for some years". Obviously they did, but not all directly in Eastwood.

I like the Puddy in your picture - BUT.... watch-out for that beaked yellow peril. He's a meat-eater.

For anyone interested in the story of Bert's life (and there are some surprising facts)- Google - 'D H Lawrence born', then click on the first heading at the top of the new page. The Site owner is Gavin Gillespie, of Eastwood.

And where did the amourous adventures of 'Lady Chatterley' really take place?
Was it around Hagg Farm/Coneygrey Farm, Underwood, or the grounds of Shipley Hall.
Does anyone have any clues via Lawrence's writings?
Azzabuv.
