New Houses

I think i've found it, Phil. It's still called 'The Field' today. There are already a few houses and bungalows there from quite a few years ago. The lane leads off the Ilson/Heanor Rd; It looks like they're going to fill the spare space up on there. There'll be some muttering from the few present owner occupiers. But God (Money) WILL be God.... as usual. So much for the Green Belt area AGAIN.

It's the lane next to the one leading to the American Adventure travesty. They could also be going to occupy the 'old Shipley Repair and Offices Site' too. It's next to it, in front. IF they do, they'll cut the wooded pathway to Shipley Pond from the AA. (The old Woodside Colliery railway track.)

You're probably correct about them finding childrens skeletons around the proposed area. You've only got to look at the Peak's fabric factories. There's a field full near one of them from around the early 1800s. "Good old Victoriana". A direct insult to all the murdered children of those and after times. Urghh - what can you say?
Azzabuv.
