Yes that's right. I've no idea what made it work but it was fascinating. I wonder what happened to it? He had the oldest till ever. Just a long wooden box with a window in which you wrote the sale on a paper roll and a drawer for the money.Also two great big hydraulic chairs which were great to ride up and down on after closing , he believed in things lasting, including I have been led to believe, haircuts.'Been for a Wilf' apparently belongs in the local dialect section! I used to work there on Saturdays when I was considered old enough, selling pints of maggots and lead weights.
