Bygone Shop Names
replied on: 7/8/2005 6:09:17 PM The 'Duck' was seemingly state of the art then. I've often wondered how it worked and the only thing i can think of is a small, delicate internal 'air/water pressure plunger'. It doesn't seem logical though, but it worked, rocking back and forth without a mistake in its continuous movement. The novelty of watching it, was for it to make just one little mistake, either going down, or coming back up again. It was quite rapid in its movements too. Eventually the novelty of watching 'Ducky no mistake', finally tailed off. I wouldn't mind one to day, here on the desk. It was fascinating to watch. Azzabuv. |
