Pkts of "Omo" (which mum faithfully used for handwashing) Bottles of P.L.J. Pure Lemon Juice, for any young ones looking in. The wee books you were able to get at the post office! and put your 6d stamp in it, when you were saving for xmas, but my all time favourite is the pawn shop. Mum used to keep me off school to go every Mon morning, and i was such a regular! that me and the manager were on first name terms. I would take it first thing on Mon morning, then on Fri i would go straight after school and pick it up. My dad never ever knew, what happened to his suit during the week. He only ever wore it on Fridays. Mum used to watch him getting dressed to go out to the pub on a Fri and shed always say a wee prayer that he wouldnt spill any of his drink on it. We laughed about it many times in later years.
