The Dickie Henderson Show
UK, ITV (Associated-Rediffusion/*Rediffusion), Sitcom, b/w, 1960
Starring: Dickie Henderson, June Laverick, Lionel Murton

Exploring the same premise of The Dickie Henderson Half-Hour - man the entertainer, man the husband, man the father - this marathon show ran virtually the length of the 1960s and was extremely popular throughout that time. Dickie appeared as, well, himself, keeping busy on the stage, being offered film parts and, latterly, enjoying his own TV show. June Laverick played his somewhat dotty wife (and, as Dickie saw it, predictably, the cause of domestic trouble and strife), they had a young son, circa ten years old (first John Parsons then, when he had to concentrate on exams, Danny Grover), and Dickie had a musical manager, Jack, who, as often as not, was visiting the house.
