Bringing this to the top for "Housework fairy"-Welcome to the site.
My grandfather WILLIAM TORNHILL was an indoor farm servant in 1881 for NATHANIEL and DOROTHY HUNT.On 1881 census the farm is transcribed as QUELGREAVES FARM!.
My grandfather WILLIAM's father RICHARD-a coal miner (mother HANNAH died in late 1870's)lived with his other children at the Dumbles-which was a cottage more or less across the road from the farm.WILLIAM went into the army and served in Cacutta-on leaving the army he married ELIZABETH CRESSWELL -whose grandmother was CATHERINE HUNT b. 1821 Langley Mill,CATHERINE's brother was NATHANIEL HUNT b. abt 18220 Heanor and her father was NATHANIEL HUNT b. Heanor 1777. I have more history of this family if you would like it.
