John Arthur Frost was indeed one of Pickersgill and Frost.

Louis Henry Lovatt died of pneumonia. He and Ella (Eleanor) lived at a house named "The Yews" at Langley. (I don't know where this house is/was.) He was buried at Heanor Cemetery, and the pottery was closed for the day of the funeral. The local paper didn't cover what led up to his illness - the previous week he had been assisted home in a drunken stupor on a cold and frosty night after an evening's drinking in Heanor. He was left lying in the snow on his doorstep, and from this developed the pneumonia which killed him a few days before Christmas.
