4th Nov 1932 The Gazette
"This land is the same as me. It was measured for a suit of clothes four years ago and has never had one" So said Coun Baker referring to the desolate state of the piece of land adjoining the football ground. He said he thought it was about time the Recreation Commitee took over the land. Coun Quantrill" May I put Coun Baker at rest? (Laughter) The recreation Committee will make that land a credit to the town. Plans are in hand."

Wonder if this was an extension to the Town Ground or a new "rec" ?
