Shops in Langley Mill
replied on: 2/26/2006 11:52:26 AM

I've just had a chat with my sister Beryl, she remembers the chip shop in Ebenezer Street it was "EYRES" she also worked in despatch at Aristoc 1966 with Mr.Holford who owned the shop at the side of the jitty to the girls school, his wife used to run the shop and when they sold it they moved to Nottingham somewhere near to the City Hospital.
Does anyone remember a sweet shop halfway up Sedgwick Street on the right-hand side?
