Parsons, Meakin and Milner families

I've had a bit more success tracing William Braisby Parsons in Heanor, I've found the 1881 census lists him at Lee Lane, with two of his brothers, James Henry and Wright Parsons.

Judging from death and marriage records, it appears his mother Ellen (nee Bonam, also spelt Bowman) married Henry Thorpe after the death of William B.'s father, James Parsons in 1870.

Henry and Ellen Thorpe married in Heanor on 18/2/1871 and had at least two children, Mary Ellen (c1872) and John Thorpe (c1876)

Ellen was born in Hoton, Leics, so perhaps someone with a Thorpe connection in Heanor knows more about her?

I haven't been able to look into the death of James Parsons yet, but it's possible that he died in an accident as he would have been late 30's, early 40's and was a coal miner. His death was listed at Basford, so I'm not sure if they were living in Heanor at the time.
