replied on: 5/11/2006 1:07:19 PM thank you so much, all that fits, i remember when i went to Lockton ave girls school a lady served the school dinners, i called her mrs Gillet, she said i was to call her aunt Lizzy, then i was told she was my grandmothers aunt.So she must have been the two year old elizabeth in the census. I was born in Mill Road in 1940, my mother was Josephine Sumner, she died aged 21 in 1941, there was a tyhoid epidemic. I know my grandparent were Fred Sumner, and Ada nee Hallam, i know freds mothers family, she was Lydia Mason, but nothing about Grand dad fred family.Only they emigrated to Chicago America, about 1890, and returned some years later.I Know nothing more about the woolands either. Thank you very much for the trouble you have taken. As i heve lived in Australia for many years i would like to gather what i can for my family here |
