Langley Mill/Aldercar School Teachers

Any ex aldercar school kids here will remember the 4 houses, manifold (green) Beresford (blue) Dove (red) and monsal (yellow)?

I've got a theory that all the misfits, weirdos and general rebels were chucked into manifold. I was in it and during my time 1974-9 it was consistently the worst in terms of winning trophies, team points and just about anything. Im unsure as to why, I cherish the idea that we were above such childish and pointless competition but it may have been because we all just thick and idle. I know I didnt give a monkeys anyway despite being reasonably intelligent.
Well, by Langley Mill standards anyway.....

Im still sure that we were streamed into houses as nearly all the posh types that went to university or who had parents as governers ended up in monsal. The real plebs were always in beresford or so it seemed to me. Dove seemed to be the utterly nondescript sort of kids.

Any thoughts?
