Lost in the Fog
During the dense fog, which prevailed on Monday night, two boys aged 8 years and 11 years respectively sons of Mr Lewis Watson collier, of Woodlinkin, were lost. They were sent by their mother to Loscoe, and on the return had occasion to cross some fields. Nothing was heard of them at eight o’clock and the parents became anxious as to their safety, search was made on the track without any results until half past twelve (Midnight) when the boys were found by their father and P.c. Hewitt, sleeping in a field close to Loscoe Dam. It appears they wandered about for several hours until quite overcome with cold and fatigue.
