The date of closure for the line for Langley Mill and Eastwood Station is quoted as 07 Jan 1963 on the following site http://www,closedlines.free-online.co.uk/gb_ex_x.htm. This site lists lots of branch line closures for the UK with some local to Heanor and district.

If you point your browser to http://freepages.geneaology.rootsweb.com~chmrc/map108.htm it should display a late 1940s map of the area. It is a colliery location map based on the OS map of the time. If you come down from Eastwood to Langley Mill, the first railway line is the old LNER branch line with the LM and E station, line closed 1963. The next railway line is in LM proper with the station marked. This line was the main line for the LMS railway and is still in use.

regards Phil
