Pubs in Cotmanhay circa 1875

Hi Robert

Many thanks for your really prompt reply. I do remember passing The Mallard Pub which if I am correct was on the main road. It looked a huge place but as you say it was probably built in the 60s. I dont suppose there would be any old photos anywhere of the B&T?

By the way do you have any Shorthose names in your family tree? - there is a John Shorthose, of Milton & Mary Mee of Ingleby, married June 21, 1698 who could be possible ancestors. Just a thought.

Many thanks once again for this great website!
