I have photographs of a Midland General FLF double decker taken after it had been in collision with the station roof!
The vehicle was travelling 'light' from Eastwood back to the garage and after coming around the bend in Derby Road and over the bridge was faced with a road accident. In trying to avoid hitting the cars involved the driver turned towards the kerb, hit it and with the resulting loss of control ended up in the station buildings. As the vehicle in question was new in 1966 and it was not very old when the accident happened it gives some more dates for the pot!
