Checked trade directories for 1881, 1895,1912 and 1932, no mention of the Knife and Steel. Could this be reincarnated as the New Inn, which is mentioned 1881, 1895, 1912 and 1932 ?

From the Kelly's 1932, Walter Weston cowkeeper and Mrs M Kyte fried fish dealer.

Fron Kelly's 1912, Mrs Matilda Weston cowkeeper.

From Bulmer's 1895, Frank Weston, owner Woodside Farm and 3 framework knitters (no addresses but named).

From Kelly's 1881, Robert Weston. shopkeeper along with 3 nailmakers but no fabric/cloth tredes mentioned.

regards Phil
