Cycle Accident
On Monday evening a sad accident befell Mr Robert Pender, District Rate Collector of Langley Mill. He was cycling from Heanor offices down Mansfield Road and when passing under the Midland Railway Bridge his machine skidded, and Mr Pender was thrown violently to the ground. When picked up it was found he had dislocated his right shoulder and his face was terribly bruised. Dr Marson Holmes was telephoned for and quickly rendered assistance.
